What did you do over the holidays?

Hi students. I hope you have all had a wonderful holiday filled with fun, family time, and rest. I am sure some of you traveled to visit family or you had family come to visit you. I hope all of your wishes for the holiday season were fulfilled. I would like for you to use this blog space to tell me about your winter holiday vacation from school. You can tell me about places and people you visited, who visited you, what you did over the holiday, and you can even tell me about the gifts you received.



Please take the time over the next few days to let me know what you have been doing since we saw each other on December 18th.



We will continue to use this blog for other communication throughout the rest of the year.

    I spent lots of time with my family - my favorite times were watching my grandson, Brayden, opening his presents and enjoying all the many wonderful surprises he received from Santa. I think his favorite gift was his drum set. I got hit in the head with his drum sticks in all of his excitement.

    All of my family were together on several different occasions, which was really nice. Even my sister and niece, and their families, were here from Texas.

    It was a wonderful holiday season - with lots of family time, good food, and relaxation. I am ready for the New Year, and lots of adventures and learning in school. I am looking forward to a great 2nd half of the school year with a wonderful group of 5th graders.

    I mostly spent time with friends and family. I saw my cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents on both my mom's side of the family and my dad's.

    My favorite gift was Band Hero, it's basically like Rock Band or Guiatar Hero if you know about those.

    This past year I realized this holiday season was a good one. I not only got things for me, but got to see others joy in the gifts from me, or just gifts from someone else. My family was very blessed this holiday season.

    Thanks Emily, it looks like you had a great Christmas. You are so right with your thoughts about the joy you see in others when you are the one giving the gifts. I always have so much enjoyment watching everyone else open their gifts. My favorite gift is my family all together. See you Monday.

    I spent my holiday with my family and friends. It was really fun during the holiday because we got open our presents and ate our Christmas dinner.

    My favorite part of the holiday was the Christmas dinner because we get all together and eat around the Christmas tree. When we opened our gifts my dad gave me a dsi it was special because I didn't know he was giving it to me, It was a great surprise.

    This year was the best Christmas season because we get all together opening presents and enjoying the holiday for all the people you care about. My family and friends was enjoying the Christmas holiday this season.

    I mostly spent the holidays with my family. We spent time on Christmas day with my dad's mother and my mom's parents. I got to see all of my cousins, aunts and uncles. My favorite part of the holiday was opening the presents. I had a great time off, but I am ready to come back to see all of my friends at school. See you Monday!
